Abstract

The tourism activity and the lodging sector in this activity, is deemed important driver for the market, in the service area. New position and consciences about the environment and society are present causing the discussion on the social responsibility. For this study, the lodgings located at Estrada Real were selected, in order to analyze the practice under two approached aspects: the social and environmental. A descriptive type approach was used as the methodology, and also using the questionnaire to collect the data. The data treatment was the multidimensional exploratory data analyses. From the obtained results it was possible to conclude that a high number of lodgings does not practice the social responsibility yet; also the social aspect is used more than the environmental one.
