Abstract

The core of the article discusses the issue of the proportion on the studies of the tourism events also a new way to produce knowledge in the field of tourism history; using the microanalysis, the researcher can reach the substantiality of travel experiences and could capture its diversity and its countless temporalities. This article thinks over on some evaluation papers made by students of the 3rd Year of Tourism at PUC-SP for the subject “History: Travels and Travelers”, offered in the first semester of 2003. Such words attempted to analyze the tourist experiences during the second half of the 20th century in two different travels.

Doutora em História Social pela Universidade de São Paulo. Atuou na docência e junto à coordenação dos Cursos de Turismo e de Administração Hoteleira do Unibero de 1990 a 2000. Atualmente leciona nos cursos de História, de Relações Internacionais e de Turismo da Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. Endereço: Al.
